Statement of Faith

  • We Believe that there is one and only one true and living God, sovereign, eternal, all-knowing, all-powerful, every-where-present, subsisting equally in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. This triune God is creator and sustainer of all things.
  • We Believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross at Calvary, was buried, rose again by the power of the Holy Spirit on the third day, ascended to the right hand of the Father and is coming to receive us unto Himself as His spotless bride. He is our Savior and the only means of redemption and reconciliation to the Father for all of mankind. By His stripes we are healed. He is the Head of the church and the only bridegroom for the Bride.
  • We Believe the Holy Spirit convicts mankind of sin, regenerates the soul of the repentant believer, and empowers the Church to accomplish the will of the Father. He sanctifies, teaches, guides, and comforts the believer. He gives spiritual gifts (1 Cor. 12, 13, and 14) unto all believers for the edification of the Church.
  • We Believe that the Bible is the all-sufficient, inerrant, Holy inspired, Word of God. It is composed of the books of the Old and New Testaments. It is the complete authority and basis upon which this church is founded. We believe that God is able to keep His translated word intact, and that one English translation is not set above any other.
  • We Believe that salvation is the result of genuine repentance of sin and faith in the atoning work of Jesus Christ our Savior. Salvation brings forgiveness to the sinner, makes him a partaker of the divine nature, and gives peace with God. We believe in the eternal security of the believer.
  • We Believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is a completely separate event taking place only after salvation. We believe it is available to all born again believers. Although it is not necessary for salvation or for the believer’s walk of faith, it serves to empower the believer to greater works and edification of the Body of Christ.
  • We Believe that all mankind has the opportunity to choose salvation through Jesus Christ or reject the offer. We believe that predestination is God’s business; we are not privy to His sovereign knowledge, that man has a free will to choose , and we have a commission to proclaim the good news of God’s grace in Jesus Christ.
  • We Believe that this church’s purpose is embodied in the Great Commission: to evangelize, baptize, and disciple our community directly and to enable missions outside of our community to do the same. We also believe in the mutual edification of the members of the body through fellowship, worship, education, an the free, Biblical exercise of spiritual gifts without exception. We further believe God’s calling and anointing for this church is to reach out to and love all people, without respect or notice to their status or standing in this world.
  • We Believe in the ordinances of baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper. We believe these ordinances to be outward illustrations of inward changes through the salvation experience. We do not believe these ordinances to be necessary for salvation but practice them in obedience to the commands of our Lord.
  • We Believe that marriage has been instituted by God and is the exclusive uniting of one man and one woman in covenant commitment for a lifetime. We will recognize a civil government’s sanction of a union as a legitimate marriage by this church only to the extent that it is consistent with the definition of marriage found in this statement.
  • We Believe that legitimate sexual relations are exercised solely within marriage. We believe any other sexual relationship to be inconsistent and incompatible with the teachings as found in the Bible. We believe our place in the Church of Jesus Christ to not be condemning, but to draw all men and women to the fullness of relationship with our Lord and Savior.
